i have an europe trip booked pre deval
4 nights stockholm
4 nights lucerne
2 nights salzburg
4 nights vienna
so that's 14 nights for ~500k points. Given the 4for2 rates, i think this would have cost around $2500. Probably the best value I'll every get from carlson.
i also got one free night cert on my personal card (but not on my busuiess card). I will be usign that at the vienna hotel. The rate is only $180 a night there so it's not that valuable.

I have
1 - Ajaccio Bay, Corsica
2 - Terme, Italy
1- Lucerne, Switzerland
1- Basel, Switzerland
1- St Gallen, Switzerland
A total of 6 more 241 bookings, 6 more free nights.
This was such an easy, great program.

I have 2: both at the now-Hilton Aruba to enjoy the Carnaval festivities & the beach.
My card renews in Dec., so I've just decided to keep it another year for the 40K + my free night for spending >$10K last year. Actually, it isn't too bad, compared to the Starwood Amex. $10K spend gets us a high-level Radisson, $14K gets a room at the top level.

So now I have 170K points + 1 Global wild card freebie exp. Sep. 2016 + 1 USA wild card freebie exp. Feb. 2017. We shall see what happens between now & Dec. 2016, when my annual fee will post again.

Remaining for 2016
2 London
2 Chicago
3 Cape Town
Apology certs in Sydney. Unexpected, no reason to receive, US cert appends to the Chicago stay.
Canceled St. Petersburg and Zurich. Pts used to book stays in Slovenia and Croatia but no 241.
I second to the poster said it is easier to earn award stays than SPG which only the low end up to Cat 3 makes sense.

I finally had my last 2-for-1 points stay, at the Radisson Martinique. Such a sad, sad, day. And since the devaluation I haven't spent any money on the card (but do still plan on keeping it for the annual 40k points). I wonder if US Bank and Club Carlson have worked out the finances to figure out if this was a good move.
