It is a great fare that also allows making stopovers.
So you could use your LHR-AMS for repositioning for your next ex-AMS trip, prices it at gbp1433.

If using both the stopovers outbound & inbound price is gbp1614.

I know a few people who will be very happy with this fare .

I think that is an incredible price!

There must be a serious build up of avios with fares this low across the board.

1222 euros sounded a whole lot better... It's a great deal none the less but I have an agreement with the OH not to spend more than £1000 per trip on flights. The joys of being young, I'll be in row 30 in Y at some point to HKG However I do really want to visit the new AMS lounge.

Wasn't there an ex-AMS sale to HKG in October that got the price down to £1,275?

The best part is you could fly AMS-LHR (stopover) - LHR-SIN-HKG and the same route back for extra TP's.
Or add for €200extra stopover in SIN/BKK/PEK/PVG.

That is very tempting!
Don't suppose they have thrown out any great fares to AKL for around November time?

These sales in the last 6-8 months have easily wiped £15k off my travel bill

Better stick to that agreement , have the same with my OH.

Just checked, was also gbp1400.

For AKL I would check the OSL fares, or email CX office in Amsterdam (on the website), if they are able to offer you a better fare then the published one.

AKL ex-AMS gbp3102 ex-tax, ex-OSL gbp1888 ex-tax.

And also that fare allows you making stopovers (2 free and unlimited €200) and really crazy routings.

With new options from the opening of ex-AMS and ex-IT sales, I have trouble now to decide if stick to West or turn East :P

Hi Chris1979,

Just added some additional info & updated.

Main difference of the I28SALE no season specified.

There is IL28SALE e.g. HNL €1423 without taxes, but has only 27/3/15-12/4/15 as sales season. As you can see fare difference is substantial.

I28SALE may offer some opportunity for others.

Enjoy NZ, I am going for some sleep.
