I can't help but think they could get a higher yield operating some more niche routes (Almeria, Bilbao, Menorca, Cagliari for example) rather than battling with the loco's - e.g. Alicante they'll be alongside Monarch, Easyjet, Norwegian, Ryanair, Jet2 and Vueling next summer

Last summer STN did often use another spare aircraft to keep things to time - in fact their Palma flight is showing a E170 vs E190 so seems like there will be some swapping around where required

Still quite useful for a weekend there.

Take Virgin Trains up there on their passable (i.e. not as good as East Coast) weekday first class service, then back on a nicely timed Sunday flight.

If BA decided to do something similar at NCL would BA passengers on the international flights be able to use the BA lounge as it's in the domestic area of the airport?

They already do, and this passenger has.

¡Hola Barcelona!

[It does require a little assistance with Special Services Newcastle to get the one way door to open, or you can just wait a minute or two].

Oh yeah I seem to remember you answering this one before when I was wondering how you could use the BA lounge on a flight to BCN

The numbers doing this must be relatively small, presumably if BA decided to operate other flights under their own brand at NCL and permitted access to the lounge they'd have to agree with the airport to make the route back to the international pier an official route as I can't imagine everyone being comfortable walking the wrong way through no entry signs in an airport.

I've been checking twice a day for these to appear so they'll probably be available when I give up checking!

One question: are these definitely going to be bookable on ba.com and qualify for Avios/TP? I thought the BA 9xxx range was reserved for charters and other flights that aren't regular BA scheduled services.

Thanks for the heads-up. Seems all routes loaded now except the flights between LCY and MAN.

Any idea of the catering you'd receive on a Club ticket MAN - AGP? 3hr journey according to BA

The riskiest is MAN-LCY on Sunday evening, highly likely to be even just slightly late and miss the LCY curfew and divert to SEN/STN.
