Sounds good and thanks Peter01. I can do the 30/3 and 14/4 dates but will be on my way to LGA ex OSL on 7/4 on the excellent (mistake) J fare.

So if you've never been to a FT Do before how do you know you're meeting the right bunch...? Is there a special FT handshake I need to learn, or a code word or should I pin a luggage label to my lapel...?

It will be the large crowd of smiling, happy engaging people enjoying themselves immensely with all shapes, genders and such. (so well out of place for your typical pub!) @:-)

Do come along, they are great fun and by no means is it all talk about flying...you get to meet some very interesting people from all walks of life that you would never otherwise meet but share an interest in aviation and travel.

Echo the comments on meeting people that later become great friends that have enriched my life since. Wish I had known earlier.

Also, some people are content to listen, others to talk, etc...so no need to be the one centre stage for those that are a bit of the shy sort...

At least once every DO, you'll end up laughing so hard it hurts from one story / experience or another...its an FT guarantee.

+1.

Plus you will be accosted in lounges around the world,

You will also be convinced to go on mad trips to the other side of the world just so we (Ftiers) can drink all the champers on board and in the lounge, and block off the premium seats from real customers

Well you all do a great job of making it sound almost normal
I'm a 'Do' virgin too, so have cast my vote and will keep my fingers crossed it's a date I'm free.

Looking at the votes so far it looks like there may be TWO DOs! 13-13 for 7 May and 14 May.

Missed out on this last year by a week.....some tactical voting took place soon after I mentioned I could make the last of the three dates on offer.

Won't be around this year as I have things to do here.

I'll definitely be in Edinburgh on the 14th so have voted for that. Not sure about the other dates yet but will try and arrange things if you go with them.

After all of the HNL TP runs, shouldn't everyone have Aloha shirts by now.

I'd love to make one of these in EDI, but it's a bit of a haul from ZRH.

Ah, but you've already talked The Lady Tobias into these sorts of things. Mrs. greg5 is still in Ex-DUB training.

Nah no need to talk her in to it, she's a sociable beast who really enjoys a good night out and meeting new people ^

Hi TangoIndiaMike and a warm welcome to Flyertalk and the BA Board.

That's great you can come along, I guarantee you'll have a good time amongst our little community here and I'll personally ensure you're made to feel very welcome.

It's neck and neck re the dates so who knows, if it's a draw we might just to have 2 Do's at the chosen venue which is yet to be decided.

Pete
