A collaborative collection and discussion of nice Avios-earning and TP-earning J & F premium fare deals. This thread is not for TP runs or published sales.
Some links to relevant threads can be found below.

Enjoy your Premium Experience.

For promos to the US (often, but TP heavy routes in general) it is always a good idea to look at BA Tier Point Runs 2017 master thread. Current sales are often in the Wiki there.

Blimey, just adding in a JER-LGW leg at 20:05 on Thu 02/02 brings the price right down to £482.81 !!! Will cancel and rebook right away...

Cymro, net netyou've just saved me 50-odd quid, thanks

As an aside, does anyone know if GGLs still get Marhaba service at DXB ? If so, is there a guide to what to expect, whether I need to book etc. ?

If you're going to go to Jersey, why not just go to Dublin? DUB-LHR-DXB//DXB-LHR on your dates is only £392 in PE

Marhaba no longer a feature at DXB to any F passengers or status card holders. BA stopped the service back in November. As confirmed by the Marhaba agent who we paid to escort us through departures a few weeks ago. You'll have to arrange this as an additional add on at the appropriate rate.

The DUB-LHR now shows as Euro Traveller whereas the JER-LGW showed as CE

Those 40TP are crucial in my hunt!!! Will DUB-LHR award only 10 ?

Remember this thread defines premium fare deals as J and F, perhaps another thread should be started for those looking for excellent WTP deals.

Then again I guess they can be upgraded to J using Avios.... What do the mods think?

Yes, short haul connections on to WTP book in K selling class and you sit in ET earning 10 TPs per flight.

Only for JER do you sit in CE (selling class J) when connecting on to WTP. This earns 40 TPs per flight.

UK flights connecting on to WTP also book in J selling class but obviously there is no CE cabin for you to sit in. You would earn 20 TPs per flight.

Fair point - PE fares aren't useful to me but taking the example of the PFD forums, they state anything above Y is a "premium fare" which is technically true.

This thread is henky's baby, that's where the decision should rest

The other consideration is that WT+ 'deal' fares are generally less common/frequent. A separate thread wouldn't be anywhere near as busy. And I agree that for UuA/GUF purposes, these types of WT+ deals are excellent - the FT readership generally benefits from their widespread dissemination.

I agree with this - I already read both the TP Run and Premium Fares threads the most because they both have fares that are interesting and good value, regardless of cabin or TP-earning potential.

Haha!

Well, normally I would not have posted WTP deals (and definitely not PE deals on other OW airlines) but these were just too good not to mention.

Besides, we all know that you don't actually fly WTP on BA. It is a class to upgrade from.

In principle they should not be included, unless they represent such excellent value as in this particular case.

That is my ruling.

WT+ both ways... £558.97

Perfectly timed to leave straight from work on Friday and go straight back in on Monday morning.

I thought it was such a good deal I booked it 😀

I pulled the trigger on this too except I end in Glasgow for £10 more

22/03 to 29/03 DUB-LHR-DXB-LHR-GLA

The madness is the triple Avios promotion Nets around 50k avios for my wife (Blue) and I (Gold) which is enough to upgrade the return to CW so that is exactly what we did. WT+ out and CW return for the sum of £405 each bargain! Even chucked a weeks car hire in to make it a BA holiday for £50 (Needed the deposit option) All sorted over the phone in about 30 minutes - Cheers OP!!

How did you find that fare? There is normally something similar to that when you do two people and add a hotel (to make it a package), but even then its nearer £800, so would be keen to know

(Google flights didn't pop anything up on a quick look)
