Just been having a think, and is it worth doing a day trip to the Big Island or to any of the other Islands...as its only £100 (ish) return.. As well as chilling out in HNL (again)

Here it is atmorris - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-...r-dub-abz.html

I'd thoroughly recommend doing some day trips and hiring a car on any island you visit.

Well, after a couple of recent sectors in a diddy little RJ with AA in "Domestic First", the crunched-up apology of CE on DUB-LHR and LGW-JER really brought home how awful BA's "Premium" short-haul offering has become.

No, we won't be flying ET ... We bear the pain for the TPs it earns

Myself, having claimed to be a CE Refugee, now tend to agree with you - especially after last minute equipment change or involuntary upgrade.

1C or choose a different flight!

This is a great report, and a good inspirational read for any doing these trips.

Renting a car on an island, with the spontaneity to stop whenever/wherever along the way is THE way to go.

Just pitched up at the Admirals/Sakura lounge at HNL with Tom Elliott to start our return journey home. The lady on the front desk looked at our boarding passes and said
"Ah, Dublin. I might've known. Let me guess, cheap business class fares, lots of miles?".
Quite amusing

have had similar comments before as well (though along the lines of "are you on one of those special fares").

guess a few years ago they wouldnt have seen much DUB traffic whilst there's DUB pax now there probably every week (sometimes on various flights on the same day).

I've got a flight in AA Domestic F on a BA ticket, and I am trying to figure out how to pre-order the meal for the flight. It doesn't look like I can do it on the web. Has anyone had any luck pre-ordering their meal?

Even on AA.com they've removed the option I believe. It's due to return sometime in November. I had the same going to HNL at the start of October.

Are you looking at MMB on AA.com? You should be able to preorder your meal for your AA flight there.
