I have used this wheeze a few times. No points on my Le Club Accor Platinum. No Welcome Drinks. Did get an upgraded room last time. Did save enough to buy my own drinks (more than two).

But presumably for £88 you could get a damn nice car from your own front door to T5 anyway...

Thanks - I was wondering where to stay in April.
Brekky in the hotel or bacon rolls in GC?
What's the deal with parking there on a cheapo deal like this? Can I just abandon the car for a couple of nights or will it be better value to use a prepaid airport carpark?

Thanks OP, I've just booked it for before my trip to China in April! Am taking my Dad on a trip in F as a 60th birthday present and was hoping to book a decent hotel for the night before flying as another treat for him and this has topped it off nicely!

I'm flying in to T3. How do you get to the hotel from there?

Go down to the HEX platform and get the free transfer train from T3 to T5. Go up in the lift to T5 check-in level, and then follow the signs to the Sofitel from there.

If you don't need to collect checked luggage at T3, a sneaky alternative would be to follow the signs for Flight Connections T5 when you arrive at T3. Then use the airside transfer bus to T5. When you are decanted into the flight connections area at T5, that space is shared by UK immigration. Clear immigration, go down to baggage reclaim and exit through customs. Then follow the signs for the Sofitel from there.

Never tried as time was quite short. I think I might have been lucky when upgraded to Atrium 5 room. Otherwise, probably not.

Thanks for sharing. I just booked a room for June when I'll be flying home from Italy. Great way to overnight at LHR before taking my LHR-AUS flight in CW.

Just booked for a night in two weeks' time.

Haven't stayed here in years due to the cost! Many thanks for sharing.

Booked a room in July, night before our F trip to Moscow.

Thanks for sharing this - wouldn't have booked there otherwise.

This is a fantastic site for this type of info

Quite. It's closer to T5 than the Hilton T5 though.
