Who gets the bollocking for this type of thing? The pilot or the person who sets the guidance up?

In theory: whoever did wrong.
In practice: both!

It really would depend on a lot of issues such as is the plane in the right parking position, was the guidance system functioning correctly, was the jetty parked in the right place.
Unless we know the answer to all of these questions, it is hard to predict who's fault it was.

Glad to see that all the passengers got out alive and were well enough to enjoy a calming beer.

I do like the @british_airways response to the passenger who said they were recovering with a beer:

"We hope the beer helped and you will accept our apologies."

Ouch! Full check on that engine plus a new cowling from the manufacturer - plus the lawyers and insurers arguing.... a minimum of £100,000 I reckon!

Another good reason to keep that seat-belt fastened until the plane has ground to a complete standstill!

None. It is a 'service experience enhancement'.

At least it was at AMS, so LHR/LGW didn't have to close for an hour.
