The CO seat was nice and innovative but would be a hassle to get out of a window seat during a meal service.

The New F looks v.nice especially like the wardrobe but I agree a light wouldn't have been out of place in there. The pivoting footstool sounds good too, the instant map button is a major improvement, and will lease my Mum who likes the map a lot. Shame the 777 are geting it first as I would have liked to try it on my next F flight which is a 744, still nevermind it is F after all. The window looks great too and if the colour can be changed to suit moods then even better, although the blue is nice also.

Can someone (and this may have to be one of those delightful BA staff members who posts on here) please tell about the panel in grey, above the seat controls which looks like it opens but what's behind it. At first I thought it was the TV connectors (USB & Phono) but they are on the TV, and the power socket is by the feet, so does anyone have any ideas?
Right, sitting here manual in hand.
The panel opens up and contains the IFE handset.

Wishful thinking IMHO. Unless they improve the video system itself its just going to be a larger crummy picture. I've also noticed many airlines with 16:9 screens just stretching 4:3 content to fit the screen. Sad.

Above where you see the headphone plugged in is blind control switch.
Below the headphone socket you can just see the power in use indication light.

Still underwhelmed... Though if they're going to leave a whole bottle of champagne with you rather than waiting for a refill, that's an improvement

I think the new interior looks very good----very tasteful and understated.MUCH better than the truly awful Kelly Hoppen naffed up layout of late.Pity they didnt reduce the number of seats----14 seats doesnt feel particularly exclusive. Now a vast improvement for the ground services is needed.

Does anyone have any idea what will happen with the old seats?

Charity auction perhaps? Or will they end up in landfill?

The long rectangular windows were designed mainly for the benefit of incoming FIRST passengers into LHR T5.
It was thought that it would help acclimatise high spenders before they get on the omnibus to the terminals.

The cradle seats from OCW were farmed out to another airline, no idea about the current F ones though, I'd have one if WW is reading.

Oh ! I had always thought they "became" WTP. Albeit with the recline restricted from their days as J seats.

What happened the Blue CW seats after the more recent refit to NGCW or whatever it's called ?

I too would really like to get one of the current F seats. Not sure what I'd do with it, but I'd still rather like to have one, or two

Just an upgraded shoebox, IMO.

14 seats in F is far too many.

LX did an amazing job with their new F and C cabins. THIS is what F should look like.

BMI did that. WT+ are essentially fluffier Y seats.
