Right, the description of the Asia forum says that it covers Taiwan.

I go to the Xindian Carrefour often. It's near the printshop that I do business with, so I've gone there for lunch in the food court as well as to buy food and gifts to take back to the U.S. That Carrefour might meet most of your daily food needs, although I have no idea what specifics you require, and I would expect the Tianmu and Neihu locations to be stocked with similar items. All are on the outskirts of Taipei city proper; a long trip might not be worthwhile considering how plentiful food markets are throughout Taipei. Depending on where you will be staying, consider other supermarket chains like Wellcome.

Carrefour is way overpriced and does not carry a wide supply of imported or local goods - I would strongly advise against wasting your time or money there. For upscale shopping if you really want to waste money, you can go to Jasons or Breeze Center, but for the widest variety of imported and local items at more reasonable prices, go to RT Mart (www.rt-mart.com.tw)

What is it that you're trying to buy exactly? This brand? http://www.hawdii.com.tw/
Anyway, if it's just some common local food it should be everywhere. Just walk into one of those supermarkets with a logo like the North Korean flag (called "Quanlian" but there's no English anywhere), and save yourself a lot of time: http://www.pxmart.com.tw/px/map.px

I grew up with this. It's really a sweet sauce and not spicy hot at all, but it goes well with oyster pancakes, scallion pancakes, steamed glutinous rice, I can go on.
Do you live in a U.S. locale without much of an Asian community? Even cities like Wichita have Asian markets that sell this and the aforementioned "bullhead sauce" (yum too!).
