We've vacationed in Bali during July, and found it rather comfortable. Warm days (mid 80s), mild nights (75) and a near constant breeze. We stayed in Nusa Dua, if that makes a difference.
I'm not accustomed to heat, given I live on the cool California coast. We would have had no problems sleeping with doors and windows open, and no A/C.
The numbers may say it's humid, but I didn't find it bothersome in the least.

July and Aug get to be peak season. They stick in Kuta and the like so head to Lembongan and Amed and its not terrible. Kuta becomes a traffic mess.
Weather is fantastic tho, some nights in August you'll even need a jacket or sweatshirt if you're on the beach for sunset, etc.
I was in Bali in Feb/March this year and it was great. A tiny bit of rain but free of crowds. Humidity is never really an issue since there's always a nice sea-breeze somewhere.

I'm in Bali now. Both the solar power and the humidity levels are too much for me. Was moving from one cool place to the next during the afternoons.
