2 amex membership rewards accounts under same account
I presently have 2 amex credit cards associated with amex membership rewards:
1) Blue
2) premier rewards gold card
For some reason, in my rewards I am showing 2 separate membership rewards accounts. One associated with my Blue card, hence "membership rewards express" and the other associated with my gold card, as a regular "membership rewards" with transfer to airline option.
The problem is that all my points are in the account associated with my Blue account, hence non-transferable.
This is the first time in 10 years this has happened. (I opened my gold card 3 months ago and it seems that it generated a new account)
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Normally, the system will automatically link a new card account to your existing Membership Rewards account. If this did not occur simply ask customer service to merge the two rewards accounts. The surviving account will be recognized as a standard Membership Rewards account because you hold a Gold card.
