I assume they do credit checks on the additional users as well? What if one of the additional users has a bad credit score but your credit score is 700+?

Doesn't matter, it's based off your credit. You can give a sup card to anyone 15 (I think that's the age cut off) and older.

Unless American Express identifies the person as one who has defaulted on an American Express account.

Or any negative history with Amex at all.

IME, being a gatekeeper for a corporate Amex account, I had an employee refused (Amex would not budge on this) due to an old negative experience with them.

And this was for a corporate card, not even a business card (so there is no personal liability). For a personal card it is surely more strict.

So, Amex PLAT you can have 3 extra cards for $175.00 each, or you have to pay 175.00each.

I just became a member in April and I was under the impression (read somewhere, don't recall were) you can have 1 extra PLAT for 175.00 and up to 3 extra golds for free, (golds don't have AC access and no priority club select.

The 1st 3 extra platinums are $175 total then $175 each after that. You can also get 5 gold cards for a total of $45 and then $45 each after that.

When adding PRG cards to your account, they earn like regular PRG cards, correct? As in you get 3x MR for airline tickets bought with the airline, 2x at gas and supermarkets and 1x for everything else? Still get the $30k bonus?

If you add supplementary cards to a Premier Rewards Gold account, all of the cars earn the same category bonuses.

So in short, I have to apply for the PRG account, or an AMEX everyday account to get the bonuses on things like airline tickets, gas and supermarkets, correct? That is a slight let down, yet understandable.

Correct. If the airline tickets are not essential you should compare with the new Everyday cards instead:
