US Centurion and Platinum Members receive Priority Pass Select

When I get to a lounge, what's the check process?

My Amex platinum annual fee is due and I don't think I'm going to keep the card. I have a priority pass membership through the Amex card. I have a trip coming up in July on Delta out of JFK. Planning on going to the Wingtips Lounge in T4. Wondering if I'll be turned away

For the above two questions, if you're PP card hasn't passed the expiration date, you shall be admitted.

Priority Pass...What to do??

This is my first post. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.. Still trying to figure this site out....

I found out that I can cancel my paid membership to Priority Pass even though the auto renew charged me on May 3.
After the United announcement I realized that I had just been charged days before. I called and the rep said that I could cancel and get a full refund for 30 days after the charge as long as I hadn't visited any lounges since the renewal. They require an email requesting the cancellation along with an emailed pic of the destroyed card.
I am thinking of pulling the plug because I can get Priority Pass Select thru my Amex Plat. Only bought straight from PP for the United access which I understood was the only difference between the Regular and Select Programs.
Priority Pass has been INCREDIBLY useful in travel outside of United lounges and I def want to have it.
Other than paying extra for it , does anybody know if there is ANY difference between the Regular and Select now?

The lounge will swipe the Priority Pass card. Your Priority Pass membership will be cancelled a few days after your Platinum Card account is closed. Read here:

nope, United was the only restriction on the select cards. I assume that the select designation will go away now. The Amex renewal PP cards probably won't say select on them.

How many lounges swipe? For me it's 1 out of 10.

That said, if you receive official notification from Amex to stop using your PP, then you probably should stop.

Among the PPS lounges, I've only visited the one at SJC, but they swipe the card every time I visit it (about 8 times in the last 10 months).

I was gonna say, the US is the only place I can recall seeing a lounge that swipes. I rarely use the card in the US anyways as I already have access to the big airline lounges. It's more of a developing nation thing for me.

Agree with those above, I've had the AS Lounge at SEA and The Club at SJC swipe but I can also add that the HKG Plaza Premium Lounge did too so it's not just in the US.

For those who can edit the Wiki (which I can't), I'd like to suggest noting next to each domestic PP lounge if they require the physical card (or if someone can confirm entry without physical card) and if so, what info was needed.

I'll contribute two...
Air France at BOS - PP Card Number & Expiration Date, Same Day Boarding Pass (any airline)
The Club at ATL - PP Card Number & Expiration Date, Same Day Boarding Pass (any airline)

At both, they manually typed my info into their handheld machine and asked me to sign on the touchscreen. Nothing further was required.

Haven't tried it abroad but I have and others have had success with the account number simply being keyed in. It is basically up to the desk agent if they are willing to do this for you.

Can you get someone to send you a front and back pic? Might help in a pinch?

I thought I'd report back about Club Mobay at MBJ. We did not pay to use it inbound (and I don't know how you'd be able to use it w/ PP b/c it is connected to the paid customs escort) and went through customs on our own (took an hour total from landing to curb). If you are traveling without kids, you can use the automated express screens, which are much faster. We had our kids, though.

We DID use our priority passes from Amex plat to get into Club Mobay on outbound. For 2 of our kids (too young for Amex), we used our Lounge Club card from Chase Ink b/c we had 2 free entries on each card. So we all got in without paying fees. The desk agent didn't care if the Lounge card was in my name and being used for my kid. No fees posted to my accounts. Great lounge. Fantastic rest stop before boarding.
