They do have another meal before landing on west-bound flights, I think it would be a rice bowl or toasted sandwich.
Edit: there is a photo of the sandwich at the end of this post: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28351976-post231.html (231)

For those who might be curious, I ended up having the Herb Crusted Snapper last week on my way to Madrid... I'm still trying to sort out where exactly the herb crusted part was. Overall it was an ok option for the main (likewise the starter and dessert were fairly standard for AA)... as others have said, the strange sauce didn't particularly go well with the fish.
However, the breakfast was another story. I think this was the first time I've ever experienced crunchy scrambled eggs... clearly someone heated the breakfast a tad bit too much! To the extent that the bottom half of the eggs were permanently adhered to the dish.
But then again, I'm not really surprised by the overcooked breakfast considering two of the cabin crew seemed rather awe-struck by one of the passengers (still have no idea who he was). Truth be told, I found it to be in rather poor taste to have a gaggle of two cabin crew AND three other passengers from the Y cabin standing in the aisle chatting up the mystery passenger a couple seats away during the morning hours before landing. (and yes I blurred out the visible faces of said crew members and passengers simply because while they may have been acting in my opinion inappropriately, I don't believe in shaming people online in an open forum... emailing the non-blurred version to AA is another story)

I've selected the tenderloin for my flight on Sunday mainly because it looks to be the lesser of 4 evils - I'll let you know my thoughts after that.

It seems to me it depends a lot on how long they leave it in the oven. I am hoping as it is being served as lunch on a flight leaving at 09:45 they won't start cooking it until the correct time, rather than it being in the oven at take off.
I can always hope!!

Late July LHR-JFK F Dinner
Asian-style Beef Cheeks
soy chili glaze, sugar snap peas, rice
Classic Bouillabaisse
prawns, gurnard, salmon
Braised Chicken Breast
red wine sauce, truffled spelt
Heritage Carrots
lemon spelt risotto
Not sure if ANY of those sound delicious. Maybe Cathay Pacific First lounge beforehand...

Just curious if anyone here looking for a little nostalgia to the not so distant past before Tempe/LUS took over AA. You may recall from about early 2013 through November 2014 AA had refreshed china and service ware used exclusively on what were at the time considered IFS/International Flagship Service flights. One of the elements was a decorative water glass in F (inspired by BA), and I seem to recall some discussion and interest on this forum to purchase one. Thought some here may be interested as Saks Off 5th online has what appears to be something very similar or identical.
