It will likely be a replacement. The DFW-ORD already has huge ASM increases with rather pedestrian load factors. I doubt they will supplement this route with another massive ASM bump with the 787. Expect an MD-80 to disappear.

However, in fairness to Parker and Co, they aren't the only ones reducing premium seating. Delta has cut down on J class seating on its 747s, 777s, and half of the 767s over the past three years.

You guys are jumping the gun with reports from bloggers. Last i heard, it was not a south american city... I would not put too much weight in a spanish language blog report.
AA wants to expand into Asia. Every indication (including going for HND slots) indicates they want to make LAX their asian hub. Take that as it is.
