I wish AA could give us line itemize on each promotion (DEQAA or DEQ11, EQM or RDM ..etc). Instead i just got regular miles posted (Base mile and bonus miles as a PLT). Nothing about double EQM bonus, although mile YTD EQM is 28605 which is clearly more than the base mile of 13,940 I flew. Anybody have a clue??

Clue about what? It looks like DEQ11/DEQAA posted for you. Just do the math and figure out where it cut off. A spreadsheet works wonders, I'd suggest one.

I wonder if LAX-DFW-ORD-LAX would work then.

I signed up for two promotions, DEQ11 and DEQAA. I flew two ORD-SFO between Jan 7 - Jan 8 and another two ORD-SFO between jan 14 - Jan 15.

Is there anyone who like me only receives one EQM bonus so far? Did you figure out if it is for DEQ11 or DEQAA. If everyone has got two EQM bonus for the two promotions, I might need to give AA a call.
If your profile is correct, you don't qualify for the DEQ11 - it's only valid "Offer only applies to AAdvantage members with an address on file with AAdvantage Marketing Programs in California, Illinois or Texas. "

Yes, look up description of Open Jaw. Specifically allowed in the T&Cs.
DEQ11 will only apply to the LAX-DFW & ORD-LAX legs, but DEQAA will apply to entire trip.

As I am noticing my own few SFO-ORD round trips have been posting (so far only 7(?) * 1846 miles out of three flights from 1/02, 1/12, 1/15.

My worry is that at this rate, I will make Platinum around early March. I am now Gold, so my re-qual for 2013 would be finished? But, if I remember from a few years ago, if I make Platinum before July, I would only be Plat until Feb-2013? Is that correct? I wonder if I should stall the Platinum by flying another airline until after June if this is true?

No, it is not correct. That only applies to status obtained by challenge.

Cheers.

I am sorry for not being clear in my question. What I did not understand is there is no line item for my DEQM, yet it just happen to be there and that DEQM did not add up to the total miles. Anyone have the same experience? Thanks

I believe you get the bonus correctly:
Code:
date	flight base	minimum	DEQAA	DEQ11
1/7/2012	637	Y	ORD	LAX	1,745	1745	1745	1745
1/7/2012	1196	Y	LAX	ORD	1,745	1745	1745	1745
1/8/2012	2404	Y	LAX	DFW	1,235	1235	1235	1235
1/8/2012	421	Y	DFW	AUS	183	500	500	0
1/9/2012	1660	Y	AUS	DFW	183	500	500	0
1/9/2012	2407	Y	DFW	LAX	1,235	1235	1235	1235
1/14/2012	681	Y	LAX	ORD	1,745	1745	1745	1745
1/14/2012	699	Y	ORD	LAX	1,745	1745	1745	1745
1/15/2012	1196	Y	LAX	ORD	1,745	1745	1745	1745
1/15/2012	637	Y	ORD	LAX	1,745	1745	1745	1745
you've got DEQAA for flights 1/7 - 1/9. DEQ11 1/7 - 1/9 plus one flight 1/14.
add them up you get 28605.

help with single flight number

Hi - i just found that i booked LAX-DFW-BOS, which have a single flight number. Will i earn the miles for the LAX-DFW as triple EQMs? or will it just post as a single direct flight please?

I doubt you would get it. a direct flight normally is posted as a single flight even it has multiple segments. i.e., AA would post it as LAX-BOS. the miles is also LAX-BOS miles rather than LAX-DFW + DFW-BOS.

I figured that out, but I still don't see those DQEM at up to my total mile. Thanks for reply btw

So if we do ORD - DFW - LAX we only get the double miles for the DFW LAX and LAX - ORD leg?

I'm reading the rules as ORD - DFW does not count.

Also, when checking the seating, why on so many ORD/LAX flights are the middle seats taken? On many flights I've checked the whole middle row of the plane is reserved.

Thanks.

I'll strengthen that and say that you won't get it, as is. Call and try to get them to split the flight into two segments. They don't really like to do it, and many won't, but it can be done. It may require more than one call.

Cheers.
