Stopover rules on ANA award

I'm seriously thinking about booking an award flight from SJC via NRT to CTS next spring, and have a question about permitted stopovers.

Most sources seem to agree that one stopover (longer than 24 hours) is permitted. Beyond that, I'm seeing some disagreement. Some sources say that one can only do a stopover on the inbound flight to Japan (that's what it sounds like from the wording on the ANA website, but I know that subtleties are often lost in translation). Other sources say that a stopover is permitted either on the inbound or the outbound flight from Japan.

Ideally, I would like to stopover in Tokyo for a few days on the way back. That is, I'd like to route the outbound SJC-NRT-CTS, and on the return go CTS-NRT, stopover in Tokyo for a few days, then continue NRT-SJC.

Would this be permitted?

Thank you!

No problem.

You can

SJC-xNRT-CTS-NRT-SJC
or
SJC-xNRT-CTS-HND//NRT-SJC

If you want a little detour, you can do
SJC-xNRT-xOKA-CTS-HND//NRT-SJC

Does ANA (or Air Canada?) allow stopovers on routes entirely within the US?
I'm trying to book SFO-DEN (stopover) FLL - SFO. Or ORD-SFO (stopover)-DEN (stopover)-FLL. Presumably all travel would be on UA.

You can.
I made a dummy booking (ANA award). However, I can't any availability for DEN-FLL

But, I made successfully the following award (just before final ticketing/mile deduction phase).

01NOV UA550 ORD-SFO
08NOV UA756 SFO-DEN
15NOV UA1613 DEN-LAX
30,000 miles(Y) and 1860JPY

Sometimes, it becomes an error at the ticketing phase.
But, the rule permits two stopovers and origin open jaw within a country.

Thanks for checking. Availability from Denver to anywhere in Florida seems to be quite problematic. Plus the ANA & UA website are awful for checking flexible dates.
