The winning entry will be painted out a 767-300 flying across Japan. Good luck

Not eligible unless you are representing Sanrio because you need to own the copyright of it

Hope this is painted on a plane with the current standard livery instead of painting over one of the other special liveries, especially the "Mohican" one.

LOL

It says

・これは、世界へ日本のみんなの気持ちをのせた飛行機です。
and google translates this to

This is the plane carrying the feelings of the Japanese people to the world.

"Fight" in Japanese (ファイト!) is akin to a rallying cheer, similar in meaning to "Gambare!" (頑張れ!). Remember, this is English from a Japanese person's (child's) perspective. Plus, since this 763 will only be on domestic routes, I wouldn't be too surprised if it was chosen. (Though I would hope ANA has more sense than that...)

thanks for the explanation.

I like the one in the upper right personally.

But the judges who selected that drawing isn't a 6 year old though. Do they have any more say at this point? Is the winner solely base on number I votes received at this point?

I doubt it -- I would expect them to use the popularity of a particular design as 判断材料 at best and make their own decision. The more complex designs would obviously cost more to paint, of course.

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I came across a design I really thought was nice by someone on YouTube. I agree with armagebedar above that it probably would have been too expensive and weight penalizing to paint and fly, but it really looked nice. At least the 60th anniversary and history of the airline comes through to me. Why it didn't make it to at least the finals is beyond me. Those characters are even ANA's too. Represents Japan very well IMHO.

This person even rendered it out in what looks like flight sim and really you get a good feel for how it would look in real life. Wow, was really impressed.

Welcome to FT and the ANA forum, SteveKay! And thanks for the link! It's definitely interesting, although a bit over the top...
