Not debited -- cause for worry?

On 21 November I made a reservation on AZ for a r/t TLV-VCE beginning on 12 December. I was sent a receipt by AZ showing that my cc had been charged for the itinerary.

Usually, it takes this particular CC about 2-3 days for a debit to show up. To date, there is no charge from AZ showing.

Is this normal for AZ or am I apt to show up at the airport and be told my reservation was cancelled because AZ was not paid for it?

Wouldn't asking AZ be more informative? Or asking your bank? BAnks often know that a charge has been made even if it doesn't appear in your account...

Sadly, I have never had success in asking my bank anything. It is in Germany and only one person in the branch speaks any English at all -- and my German is limited to what I can order in a restaurant.

AZ is a different problem. I can speak with them (preferably in English but I can get by in Italian) but a previous attempt at getting a seating problem cleared up showed me that their Customer Support people have no idea of how to check existing reservations.

I wouldn't worry, Dovster. I had a number of cases where AZ did not charge my Amex for over 3 months (I even seem to remember opening a thread concerning my experience).

Thanks -- in that case I will let AZ worry about it.
