Anyone know what the current turnaround is for a response? I emailed about a week ago with all the documents they requested (I know it went thru because I got the auto-responder message). No response yet

If you match now you'll get status till the end of 2016 and you can maintain that by flying AS partners only, although you'll have to hit the higher mileage thresholds. AS doesn't appear to have an "own metal" requirement. Although the juiciest benefits of AS status, besides accumulating AS miles faster, include things like upgrades for you and companions on AS flights. Not to mention same day changes and free cancellation of revenue tickets up till the last minute with the balance going towards a future flight. It would be a pretty half-baked status if you're flying on AS partners since you basically won't ever get an upgrade but great if you want AS RDM's.

Just submitted my UA info to AS for match program. Being UA Plat and LT Gold what level should I expect on AS? I do fly AS regularly to Hawaii on business and prefer them to UA hence the change.

I submitted my match request on Dec 14. I had Silver on UA. On Dec 25 I got confirmation of my match to MVP!

Anyone have any success in getting retroactive elite bonus mileage credit for AS flights flown between when the request was made and the request was granted?
I requested match on morning of 1/12 and 9 days later, still nothing. I called to nag, but same response, 2-3 week expected, they will check on it...
After a few hours I see the status updated so maybe my call helped. However, they have been unable to update my existing reservation to reflect the tier level. Even after waiting overnight, the agent is unable to get it to update when re-entering the number. Will try again when it is over 24 hours. They were able to get me better seats but I can't get on the upgrade list without it reflecting the right tier level apparently.
I purchased tickets on AlaskaAir.com less than 24 hours after my tier level was showing as updated on AlaskaAir.com. I was able to select elite access seats but when the reservation was ticketed, I did not see my tier level on the reservation and could not access elite seats.
I see reports upthread that the update may happen automatically to the reservations within 1-2 days, so will look for that. I also have an AA reservation I will watch.
