Whatever, I will fly there and back just to get the duty free. The tax on booze here is crazy.

Cuz AC doesn't even fly there. But based on the quality of UC at HKG and NRT, as well as MLL at CDG and FRA, I suppose it won't be too bad if there is one at SIN.

Perhaps, I've never been to CDG or FRA. I hear they are actually not awful.

Absolutely. The FRA MLL is among the best MLLs out there IMHO: adequate seating, oustanding service, decent food, very good drinks selection, great showers

The old CDG MLL wasn't overly impressive IMO, but I haven't visited the new one.

Is that what happened? LOL
Not quite. 24L was instructing the bar staff on the correct ingredients in a Singapore Sling when we got talking and I told her I just came off an AC flight. Though I was talking to myself on the plane when I cursed out the ancestry of the very boring Portuguese Macanese chicken.

LMAO. The first bartender was having some difficulties with the ingredients. She said she was new. So I showed her photos I had from a previous trip with the entire "episode". And it was awesome having "unplanned" Slings in HKG with vernonc.

An inspiring meeting yesterday with 24left at the Ozone Bar in Hong Kong on the 118 Floor, 1,608ft above sea level
Looking forward to doing this again!

If I recall correctly you are in SIN, so the drinks at Ozone will cost you around the same as the flight.

Depends if I fly Y or J.

I have been meaning to do a trip to KUL (or CKG), can be had for under $60 and I have some dragon lounge passes to use. The plan is to just use it to predrink before going out one night.

Otherwise it's $129 on SQ which is still relatively cheap for getting drunk in Singapore.

Bumped into Allvest and the lovely Mrs. Allvest in the SQ at HKG yesterday.
Much fun and some interesting conversation.

Managed to catch up with 24left, nomadic_relief and Sean Peever for a quick cocktail yesterday at YVR. At what point does a "met along the way" scenario become a micro-Do?
