Latitude mileage bonus? Super confused!

Ahoy crew!

So I am currently Altitude 35k starting in May - but I am super confused on how the bonus mileage works with that status.

I selected the 35% mileage bonus with my status options - so I assume I will receive a 35% bonus on the miles I fly when booked with AC - but if I book a Latitude ticket - do I receive a 25% bonus + 35% bonus totaling 65% overall?

Any help from the pros? ^

It's from the base miles. You'll get an extra 25% on top of the base miles for your Latitude ticket, then 35% of the base miles (not 35% on top of the 25% extra) in bonus miles.

If the base miles for the segment was 1000 miles, you'd get a total of 1600 miles (1000 + (1000 * .25) + (1000 * .35)).

Also, note that the bonus is not Q miles.

The altitude bonus miles are not AQM. The class of service bonus miles are AQM.

To sum up what the others have said above...

Just say you flew 1,000 Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) on a Latitude fare...
1. You get an extra 25% AQM Class of Service (COS) bonus of 250 AQM on top of the original 1,000 AQMs for taking said flight - this counts towards status
2. You get an extra 35% non-AQM 350 bonus Aeroplan miles - this does not count towards status

So net net - you get:

1000 + 250 + 350 = 1,600 Aeroplan Miles towards your Aeroplan Distinction
1000 + 250 = 1,250 AQM towards your Air Canada status
