I'm flying into the old one on March 26, and out of Incheon on April 2. Hope the bugs are worked out.

I'm pretty sure that everybody is moving to Incheon on 29 March. The KE and OZ domestic connections will leave from Kimpo though. Could be a major hassle.

It opens on March 29th. All International flights are suppose to move over to ICN on the 29th and there after. Kimpo is really run down and over crowded. I'll be much happier to be flying in and out of Inchon airport over Kimpo.

Last December(while in Seoul), I saw roads signs that had markings for Inchon Intl Airport.

The last I heard was that they had encountered problems with the luggage carousels. Similar to what happpened when the new Hong Kong and Denver airports were about to be opened.

I'm flying to ICN on the 11th(arrive in Seoul time on the 12th). I am interested to see what the new airport will be like, but I am not looking forward to the drive back into Seoul.

FYI here is the web site for the new airport, has a few videos on the construction, links to the new highway system, etc. Hope this enlightens you. By the way, Inchon will take the airport code of SEL from Kimpo, just to confuse things even more. If you have a domestic flight in Korea, it will still fly out of Kimpo, so you have to take a bus (no one will say if it will cost you or not) to Kimpo and catch your domestic flight from there. Good luck to all of you transiting in the next few weeks. Be sure to post your reports!

IATA code for IIA is 'ICN', while current Gimpo will have new airport code, 'GMP'.

I'm scheduleto fly into Seoul on 4/1, out again on 4/3, and I'm absolutely dreading it...it's been a real challenge finding flights b/c some airlines/websites are still using SEL as the city code, and others are using ICN. Large pain in behind!
