500 free America West miles

Somebody emailed me the following tip. As I am not an HP Flight Fund member, I have no way of confirming this free miles deal. If it works for you, post a repsonse here please so everyone will know if it works or is a waste of time.

America West is offering 500 air miles for logging to their site and registering to
access your account online. Miles are earned first time you check your Flight
Fund account. Offer good thru 12-31 2000.

It's true and you will still receive your regular snail mail statements. In fact, I believe there is no option to switch to online statements only. An easy 500 FlightFund miles! Mine posted in about 3 days.

My first impression (five minutes worth) gives them high marks, once you get the past the sign-up process of creating, updating and/or validating your user profile, etc. It allows access up to two prior years of account information and appears to be very comprehensive.

Yes!

Maybe I should have posted it in "THE BUZZ" or we just have too many categories!

Or need one just for FREE AND QUICK EASY MILES!

See:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum12/HTML/000157.html

AND BTW- You can also "fanagle" another FREE 500 NWA Worldperks miles at:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum35/HTML/000828.html

Enjoy the "easy" miles!

As I mentioned in another post as well as an email to a fellow FlyerTalker who was miffed about my reposting info he had already posted in another forum, sometimes it is necessary to post in more than one forum.

The Buzz is a common gathering ground and the most visited forum. Any info that will benefit a large number of visitors should be posted here as well as the respective forum.

David -- You are right, such information should be posted (or reposted) in place like Buzz. But, IMHO, you should've credited the "original" poster with the discovery of a bonus opportunity (as Doc does when he reposts somebody else's findings in another forum). It's just a common courtesy.

FWIW, David's typically quite courteous, IMHO!

Yet, like me, he may ocassionly be less than perfect!

Like most folks I know!

Doc makes his share of errors for sure!

Yet hopefully such rare ocassional oversights can easily be overlooked!

At least I hope so!

I filled out the profile, but I did not see anywhere that a 500 mile bonus was being offered for using the Flight Fund on-line section...an unlisted bonus?

GeorgeJ,I didn't see any mention of the 500 mile bonus either when I viewed my statements online. However, your miles will appear within a week.

From America West's Newsletter for FlightFund Members:
VISION SEPTEMBER 2000, Volume XII, Number III
Access FlightFund account information online, anytime - earn 500 bonus miles!

.........Through December 31, 2000, you'll earn a 500-mile bonus when you log on and check your account for the first time.......
