767 200er

We are booked on this A/C plane at xmas to Hawaii. The agent suggested seats 12HK, which on the diagram looks like a "bulkhead" seat. Does anyone know what these seats are like - good, bad or ugly ? Thanks.

Beware that most of these seats (11-12-13) have no windows... depending of the aircraft configuration and type. Because they use different aircraft type depending of the load factors etc... your 767-200 could become a 767-300ER 24hrs before your flight..

I now avoid row 11-12-13 and start bookin row 14 when exit row is not available. The space in the bulkhead is not that great and the center row is almost always occupied by family with babies and small children. If you have a baby this is where you want to be because they can install a small bed in front of you. very convenient if the aircraft is full...

There's no row 11. Y starts at row 12 on all aircrafts with J class.

Empress, I don't want to argue with you due to the mega knowledge you have of AC :-) but I keep tracking these bad seats on my Palm and clearly remember to have been seated on row 11 bulkhead on a 767.

The AC seatplan still show a row 11 on 2 types of 767-300ER. Perhaps it is now changed...

Actually you're not wrong. I think you were most likely on a ex-CP 767 which did have row 11. They have all been renumbered now and it starts at row 12.

Check and see what the J cabin configuration is on your flight. If it is 2-2-2, you have a domestically-configured 767 and you don't want to be anywhere near row 12 in Y.

Because they took out 5 rows of international J seats on the 762ER and squeezed in 6 rows of domestic J so the bulkhead has less space than before.

... and they added one more row of Y, too, so there's even less room.

I took Stu's advice and moved my gang (no little kids-just pre-teens) from row 12 back to row 20 for our Hawaii trip in Feb.-hopefully still o.k. legroom at that bulkhead. Granted, its behind the lavs but hopefully it will be qiet overnite.

Thanks everyone. They still have the "OLD" diagram on the A/C website (surprise, surprise)so I got fooled. The flight YYC/HNL at Xmas is booked solid, of course, so I need some help. Is there anyway I can a)switch seats ahead of time to say row 35 or b)upgrade my "non-refundable" tickets to business class or c)pay to upgrade at the airport (is there a trick to that)if there is any business class available or d) get to the airport (how early) and request a seat change. I'm not Elite or anything. These are Q fares. What is between row 12 and the seats in front of it - nothing or a curtain or a large employee ???

If they aren't assigning any more seats, there's not much you can do right now. They always hold back ~20% of the seats for the airport to assign, so as long as you check in reasonably early you should be able to get something that's not too bad. There's not much difference between the seats, except for the spacing near the front of the cabin. Chances of an upgrade on a Q fare are almost negligible, even for Superelites ... it's a waste of time asking and will only get the agent mad at you.
