NWA adds Copa as Partner

In a recent Worldperks mailing I saw where NWA added Copa as a partner for better coverage of Central and South America. I wonder ... could all those Latinpass miles be converted into Copa miles and then into Northwest miles? Anyone have a idea?

Can't be done without laundering the miles through another program (like Hilton Honors) and losing most of the points in the conversion.

For what it's worth, Copa does not have it's own FF program. They use Continental's OnePass as their main program (Continental owns a 49% stake in Copa).

A search in the CO forum will yield many positive comments about Copa.

COPA is a nice airline. Flew w/ them on the LatinPass run. Was wondering if LatinPass would become a member of NW. KLM has LP as a member airline. One can only hope. Would make the trips to Costa Rica alot more frequent.
