Aviation history - History Channel

The worst British Columbia aviation disaster to be featured in a History Channel documentary tonight. If you can’t watch, set your VCRs to record The History Channel, tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT. A special documentary program, entitled Weather Untamed, will feature significant Canadian events in which weather played a crucial role. Among the cases to be reported in the program, is the Trans-Canada Air Lines accident of Dec. 9. 1956, in which a TCA plane heading east out of Vancouver, carrying 62 passengers and crew, crashed into Mount Slesse due to bad weather.

I lived in Chilliwack BC and did lots of hiking on Mt Slesse.
