Unpainted 330 in YYZ?

A couple of days ago while driving past YYZ, I noticed a 330 (at least I think it was a 300 - twin engine wide-body Airbus) on final. It caught my eye because it was painted white, with no other visible markings. It's possible I missed a discreet logo somewhere, but it definately didn't have AC markings.

Assuming it was an AC aircraft, I thought the paint shop was in YUL, not YYZ. Can anyone enlighten me about this mystery aircraft?

They definately paint some aircraft at YYZ. The Jazz aircraft are painted elsewhere, due to costs (AC do not use College Pro Painters)as are some CRJ's. They go to a non unionized shop.

On average they go for a complete paint job every 5 years. It is also possible that most YYZ painting is cosmetic.

I know that Skyservice is bringing back one of their A330s that was leased out to do flying for Conquest. They may be painting it into Conquest colours in YYZ.

I saw pictures of the Sky Service A333 C-FRAP in HAM parked outside LH Technik hangars. I did hear that the 3 Delsey/VG 332's were in YUL for Maintenence. They are to be painted in L-Air c/s. Wonder if it was one of those?

Actually according to the airport log on yyznews.com, it is C-FRAP the SKYSERVICE in all white c/s.

An A319 also came in from XFW for Skyservice on Dec 2.

Browsing through the listings, I noticed several entries for the gigantic Antonov cargo aircraft that I see occasionally at YYZ. Does this aircraft operate on any kind of fixed schedule? I'd LOVE to watch that monster of an airplane take off and land.

Actually on Nov 11, I saw 3 of this giant birds at YYZ while driving on Airport Road. I heard there were 5 of them here on that date.

I wonder if they are heavy lifting something into YYZ or out of YYZ?

Honda was using them to transport steel from Japan to their plants in Alliston.

Not sure if they are still doing this or if it is another company doing heavy lifts.

Wonder if we will see the monster An 225. Now that even dwarfs the An 124.

I believe that the An 225 will be NYC on Dec 10 or 11.

Flying steel from Japan to Canada??? Guess this is one more reason imports cost more than domestic cars.....
