Need Help - anyone flying Germany - YYZ soon?
I realize that this isn´t the best place to post this (and am sorry for taking up space), but I could really use some help if anyone´s flying FRA or MUC to YYZ in the next week. If you don´t mind, please send me an e-mail and I´ll fill you in. Much appreciated and thank you.

What the heck... I'll do it for free and you only need to pay my ticket. (Only V class and up)
Robyyz, would you mind telling us what kind of help you needed, maybe we could all work together and help you out.

Uh, sorry, but I don't need the upgrade! (Thanks anyway.) Actually, I'm in FRA right now (passing through from Mainz and thought I'd take a look), and will be in the area for the next couple of days before going to MUC (by train). Anyway, I have a feeling that what I want to do may be illegal (think Lockerbie and the three FAA questions that are always asked), but I'm doing a lot of train travel, only going home mid-Aug. from LHR, and have too much stuff that I'm lugging around (especially through those train stations w/o escalators or elevators!). Thus, I would really appreciate it if anyone flying FRA-YYZ over the next couple of days could bring a small (but heavy) bag back home (as checked luguage). I'd meet you at the airport, and I'd get someome to pick it up at YYZ. This would be really helpful. Thanks.

And as you suggest, highly illegal. Well, maybe not illegal, but suspect: I wonder how the check-in agent would respond when one answered the question about "Did you pack the bag yourself?", or "Did anyone give you something to bring back with you?", etc. with a "Yes"? Have you checked to see if FRA airport or rail station have a check facility where you could leave a suitcase for a week or two? Most European travel centres do offer this convenience. Or you could just send the stuff back by sea post.

Thanks for the suggestions. Only problem is that I´m only hitting each place once, and won´t return. Sea post could work, but it´s pretty expensive and I doubt it would reach home in a month, which is when I move out to YVR (and I don´t know my address there yet). I guess that I can look at the bright side -- it´s like a daily workout! Thanks anyway.

You could always try:
1) If you know someone in YVR they could get you a PO Box you could ship to. Even if it is too big, there ought be some provision for receiving the package. Check mailposte.ca for information.
2) I don't if General Delivery is still available but that might be another option.
If you don't where you will be living try one downtown or fairly central to cover you bases.

Sorry, Robyyz, but I would never, ever help you or any one I did not know well out on this. What if there is contraband in it (Sorry, but I do not know you). With customs issues, etc. it would not be worth the hassle.
Have you considered shipping to someplace in England that you could pick it up from just before you come home? Perhaps Her Majesties' Royal Mail has such a service. I am sure that they would have a website for contact information.
That way you are responsible for bringing this mysterious parcel through customs and onto the plane.
