Lower award levels for pairs of AA C and F Awds
As I'm new to Flyer Talk, I hope this post is of some relevance, and has not already been covered.
I was surprised to learn today that AAdvantage still offers awards that include two C or F at mileage levels that are significantly reduced from single awards. Apparently, the two awards need not travel together, and both can even be issued in the same name (i.e. for two different trips by the same person).
These awards are apparently being phased out, and must be issued by June 30. It's disapointing that AA keeps them hidden (not on website, several agents didn't know about them), as they offer a real savings to couples and families traveling in C or F to Hawaii, Europe, south America, or Asia. To Hawaii from the mainland, as an example, 2 Business/First are 100,000 rather than 120,000 (60,000 times 2). The code for the Hawaii award is P100JJJ.
Thought this might be of interest.

Whoops. Sorry about that. I hadn't seen it while making a quick scan, but given the very impressive attention here to just about any relevant frequent flier topic, I should have expected it would have been covered.
