Starting off with the Party In Paradise Bon Voyage Party at the LAX United Red Carpet Club prior to boarding the PIP Express, United #57 on November 4th! If you're flying another airline out of LAX that day, come on over! We've got plenty of "guest" privileges.
Nov 4, 1999 UA 57 LAX-HNL Seat 7B
Hilton Hawaiian Village 5 nights
Nov 9, 1999 AQ 28 HNL-OGG
Westin Maui for 3 nights at United 50% off rate.
Nov 12, 1999 UA 36 OGG-LAX Seat 1F
Traveling over water both ways with Wingless and good buddy Catman and we're both staying at the Westin Maui after the Party to get some R&R and nurse those hangovers (and perhaps create a few new ones). Who's going to join us?
And a reminder to all: The PIP Express is just a little added fun on the way over, so if United is not your thing, by all means earn those miles on your favorite carrier (or create your own PIP Express II)! But by all means...get your fanny over to Hawaii for the Party of the Century!

Matt Wald, you asked me on 4/5 if there would be any InsideFlyer employees attending the PiP. Regretfully to my knowledge, no. But of course if there is ever an inkling to any of us even possibly going- my swimsuit and sun tan lotion are packed! Hope you all have a blast - have a Pina Colada or Mai Tai for me. Remember to post all the good trip report stuff of FlyerTalk Trip Reports!

I think my husband was a little confused...we ARE coming home on the 10th, not back to HNL! Our flight is UA 2668 LAX-PHX 1000p 1114p 2C/D! I know he's excited to go to the PIP, but gezzz
The kids would get pretty upset if we didn't come back & I'd miss the grandbabies too much.

4th Nov until 9th at the Hilton Hawaiian village (so I can drink with my mate Catman).
Is as far as I have got. I'll leave the flights etc until closer the time - I don't want to make it to easy for BA to sort out an itinerary for me.
And besides I have a good friend based in Boston, I may try and hook-up with for the outward journey!
Simone will be in attendance (you need someone to fetch and carry the drink orders, right?), although I have instructed her there is no possibility of her going off shopping with Baobab.
Simone will however need to ascertain the name of a good hairdresser, beautician and Osmotics makeup artist (I still don't know what that is) before arrival.
I would also warn any others of you staying at that particular Hilton, that the service you receive that week will be very poor. Simone will have all the staff very busy fetching and carrying her numerous (and way - or weigh, if you prefer - over the limit) bags. Ironing, pressing and dry-cleaning her mobile clothes boutique. Rearranging the patio furniture. Driving her to her various appointments as above. etc etc etc
Most people travel, she still goes on tours in the style of a grand vacation.
Laugh at us? You won't know what has hit you!
Nick

Merry,
Simone can go to the Paul Brown Beauty Salon and Day Spa. It's about a five minute drive from the Hilton. She can get hair, make-up, massage, etc. at the same place. The staff is nice, but it's a popular place so it's busy.
I can also point you in the direction of wonderful shopping (Tiffany's comes to mind). hehe

Nice to see you on the boards Tropical FLyer!
I know there is this big mall (that was adding more stores when I was last in HOnolulu) in downtown Honolulu (forget the name.)
I remember there is a shuttle bus that stops there from the major hotels.
Only know this because when I got to Honolulu I left my suntanning lotion and post sun healer on the counter at SFO men's rooms. I was burned and had to find a Body Shop to get new supplies. SO off to the crowded mall.
It does have a Tiffany's and many of the better stores. And I think a Sears.
I do not plan to go to the mall during the P-I-P unless someone wants help with the bags.
But I want to get a new Hawaiian shirt ot make JAWS happy.

The mall is the Ala Moana -- they were still doing renovation construction when we drove by it last November.
Catman -- we'll go find you a cool Hawaiian shirt. As long as you don't want to go to Hilo Hatties!

See ya there!

Merry, Simone is on vacation so I would be happy to serve the drinks to you both and everyone (Just don't ask me to make the drinks... once I tried and left all my friends with a THREE DAY HANGOVER!)
But everyone had a good time initially.
