Another company is buying my ticket. Can I still get FF miles on this?

Just wondering how difficult the process is... I don't know at this point which airline, will find out tomorrow (but it could be DL, CO, NW, or AA). I have accounts with all three, so I could add the miles to any of them.

The other company that's buying the ticket is either booking directly through the airline or using its own travel agency (Wagonlit, I think)

Can I just call the airline after I get my tix to add my FF number? (I'd really prefer not to ask this other company to do anything FF-related on this ticket just so I can get a few miles)

you should still be able to get the miles unless they buy a fare that's not eligible to earn miles. if your butt's in the seat, you can earn miles - just make sure at check-in that you FF number is in the reservation (granted you won't get any online booking bonuses if they buy it that way).

OK - thanks for the advice. I'll just make sure to get my FF # on there and collect some miles

bhatnasx is right. Just give them your ff # when you check in, you'll get the miles (altho save the receipt and boarding passes until you see the miles accrue). tls

Once you have the ticket and flights, call to double check your flight arrangements and seating and ask if they have your ff number on the record, if not they will either add it or not based on the fare. If they don't because they purchased a dollar fare, then try again at checkin.

You should either call the airline or give them your number at checkin. Either way, you ahould be able to earn the miles, unless your fare doesn't allow it. If you call the airline, be sure to check your seats so that you can choose now while there is a better selection.
