"beat the system" tip 9: determine which line at Check-In is the slowest
1) Travelers with one bag are generally faster (only one-check-in-bag, but also because they seem to be experienced travellers – less likely to have last-minute-problems)
2) Inexperienced travellers are slower and often accompanied by several nonpassengers seeing them off: they have large document folders, new passports, are talking excitedly, luggage is platic, new or of monstrous size.
3) Persons with a major problem: no check-in-clerk at the front (talking to superior)
4) A group (family) is faster than the same people travelling singly
(from the airline passengers guerilla handbook).

These are helpful hints, but it might make discussion easier if you keep them all under one topic heading. Another thing: be careful with copyright laws if you print too much here verbatim from their book. This bulletin board won't thrive with Rudi in jail!

i believe rudi mentioned under the "introduction" thread that he has already received permission to use snippets from the book for our reading pleasure.

I told Rudi to check on the copyright law
which he did. Having taken a Media Law class
I prefer to be careful about the written
word... in ANY form!
I salute the publishers for allowing him to
share their tips with us (also hope to get the book too!)
Here's another CATMAN MEOWY TIP that works
SOME of the tip: Become elite and use the special and mostly shorter lines at your airport.
That works, unless you are at certain HUB
airports (United's Chicago, Continental's
Newark, American's Dallas, any airline in
L-A!!!) CATMAN

Jaws43, if you want a faster line... look
for me... I always look for the shortest line
and want to get in and out as fast as possible.
I'm the guy with the white and yellow cat
hair all over my bags and my pants!!! CATmAN
