ClickRewards for non North Americans?
And here I was thinking I'd get some nice ClickRewards!!!
I bought something from the USA over the net using my credit card. No problems there. I also have FF membership with AAdvantage. Somewhere to put my ClickRewards.
I received the following mail:- (great!)
Welcome to ClickRewards!
Because of your recent online purchase, you've earned
ClickMiles, and a free membership in ClickRewards, the #1
mile-earning program on the Web. The following ClickMiles
have been deposited in your account:
Business: XXXXX
Promotion: YYYYY
ClickMiles earned: ZZZZZ
But when I tried to get my on-line account information I had trouble with my 'password'. I sent an e-mail to Customer Service and received the following:
Dear Valued ClickRewards Member,
Thank You for your email message.
I am very sorry for the confusion, but unfortunately you must be a U.S. or Canadian resident to participate in ClickRewards.
I feel so (Rudi: add oooooooooooo) discriminated!

I think someone should drop a little e-mail to ClickRewards suggesting that they make it an INTERNATIONAL Point earning program.
I'm feeling lucky. I think I will do just that.
For my friends Rudi, Merry, TimChen, ***uchan, Counsellor, Austman and Pberrett...and anyone else I failed to mention.. because you all too deserve CLick rewards.

Dear All
I joined clickrewards and made a purchase recently and after about a month got a message saying that I had accrued 750 clickrewards (3x bonus offer). I had difficulty accessing my online balance however so I emailed them. Here is the reply.
Dear Valued ClickRewards Member,
Thank you for contacting us with your concerns and we apologize for any
inconvenience this matter has caused.
The way we gather the four-digit access code is from the last four digits of the bill-to zip code provided bythe first ClickRewards merchant you shopped with. Because your zip code is only four digits to begin with, I would assume a zero was added to make up for the missing digit.
**NOTE** I noticed your address is in Australia. Unfortunately at this time,in order to be eligible for the ClickRewards program a resident of the United States or Canada.
If you do have an alternate address in the United States and/or Canada that you can utilize for your ClickRewards account, please use it when you access and set up your account with your four-digit code. I have placed the instructions below for your reference.
Just follow these simple steps:
1. Enter the email address used at the time of your purchase.
2. Click the log in button.
3. Enter the special four-digit zip code (1550).
4. Choose a password of at least seven characters (with at least one numeral), a secret word, and fill out your name and (US or Canadian) address.
5. Check your account balance.
That's it. You'll be a full-fledged ClickRewards member and have access to your private, secure account where you can check your ClickMiles balance and redeem your ClickMiles 1 to 1 for frequent flyer miles.
We are always interested in what you think! If you have any further questions or suggestions regarding the ClickRewards Program, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]!
Sincerely,
Nathan
I have emailed them a short email asking them to please make it an international program. I can see no technical reason why they can't offer click rewards to us Australians - the Internet is an international medium after all.
Clickrewards are doing themselves out of a lot of customers with this policy.
I strongly urge everyone (inluding north americans to write to Clickrewards and express your disappointment that clickrewards is not an international program. Their email address is
[email protected]
cheers Peter
ps I feel sooooooooooooooo discriminated against
