Elite Bonus Miles

Seems North American based airlines are the only ones offering bonus miles on all fares that are eligible for miles to Elite members as a regular part of the program.

UA and AA give 100% bonuses to some of their elites. BA (US based members) also offers this. Air Canada offers something similar (it works out to 100% bonus if you fly 100K as does Canadian.

Any other airlines do the same? I am not up on CO/NW or many other non-North American airlines. I looked at the Oneworld and Star charts and eliminated a lot of carriers.

US offers 50% bonus miles to the base level (Silver) members and 100% to 2nd & top level (Gold and Chairman's) members, and it seems for term of the status and not just until the end of the qualification year (e.g., February for CP (and AA?))

IIRC, BA EC does offer a bonus to their elite members but of course getting elite status on BA is difficult if you don't pay full fare.

CO and NW "merged" (more like sync'ed) their FF programs awhile back. Silvers get 50% bonus and complimentary upgrades within 24 hours; Golds get 100% bonus and complimentary upgrades within 48 hours; Platinums get 125% bonus and complimentary upgrades in 72 hours. Platinum status is reached at 80 segments or 75K miles.

Platinums on TWA earn a 100% bonus. Plus, we earn Fare Rewards on all fares, not just F, C, and Y.

Elite 1 gets 50%, and Elite earns 25%.

Most of this is the norm, except Fare Rewards, which is exclusive to TWA.

Delta has Silever Medallion (25K miles/yr), Gold (50K/yr) and Platinum (100K/yr). SM's get 25% bonus and upgrades within 24 hours; Golds get 100% bonus and upgrades within 72 hours; PM's get 100% bonus and upgrades at time of booking.
All upgrades use 800-mile segments.
None of this applies to fares booked in L.

For US CP, 100% bonus miles is only for flights > 1000 miles. All bonus miles for flights < 500 miles are calculated by adding bonus miles until the actual miles + bonus miles = 1000 miles. Full fare flights < 500 miles have bonus miles added until the total = 1250. Flights > 500 miles but < 1000 miles get 150% bonus. In 1999, AA for PM is + bonus to equal 1000 miles, 100% bonus if > 500 miles, and no full fare bonus.

For DL PM, all classes, minimum 500 actual miles per flight if < 500 miles, + 500 bonus miles, 100% bonus if > 500 miles. That's why it's easier to get MM status on Delta than AA or US!!!

Hmmm ... I'm pretty sure you get the minimum 500 miles on AA or US still, don't you? Also, the bonus miles on DL do not count towards MM status, not since 1996, while on AA I believe they still do count.

Only base miles count for MM status on DL. All class of service and bonus miles are just, bonus miles.

Yes, US still gives a minimum of 500 miles per flight. And while the status bonus miles don't count toward elite, class of service bonus miles do. Pretty sweet!

It's not that easy to earn Million Miler status on US. It would be easier if they had an MM program!

AF Frequence Plus North American Upper Tier members now get 100% bonus miles for flights on AF, DL and AM.

One difference that separates DL (and I believe AA) from the other US airlines is that you get your elite bonus on their alliance partners.
