UA gives actual/double miles only on ACTUAL MILES for their shuttle flights. Thus you may only get 660 miles (or so) on a UA SJC-LAX flight as a premier executive, but the AA Platinums would get 1,000 miles on the same routing.

European AF Frequence + elite members only get 50% bonus (no difference between blue or red)
Latinpass has a 100% bonus for Gold members (top tier) and a 25% bonus for silver. Travel on partner airlines (TW, US, KL and National airlines) counts towards status. They also have threshold bonuses for number of miles flown (from 10 000 for 25 000 up to a maximum cumulative total of 100 000 for 100 000 flown per membership, rather than calendar, year)

You show the ever inconsistent MP program. No actual miles on Shuttle flights. Just another way that UA tries to screw its captive West Coast customers. As I always say:
Thank god I live on the east coast (though this may change...Could Shuttle replace MetroJet if this deal goes through?)

Given the competitive presence of Southwest and Alaska on most of the routes I would fly that are served by Shuttle by United, I hardly feel that I am a "captive West Coast customer". In fact, usually I thank God that I live on the West Coast and not the East Coast with respect to getting good fares on short-haul flights.
