Why I Love FlyerTalk!
Thanks to the tips here in the past year I added nearly 9,000 miles to my AA account. All without flying & with just a few boxes of eggos (which I was going to buy anyway). The 5,000 mile bonus that some of u fought for until we got it was the best!
I don't fly AA, so why bother?
Because i also learned how to transfer my AA miles to HH points. For very little effort I get an extra 2 nights free in Europe next year!
Go FlyerTalk.

Thanks doglover: Yes, the power of a community when it's all working in the same direction - helping members with information that enriches their miles and points.
Have a wonderful extended time in Europe and pass it (FlyerTalk) along......

Right on doglover! Since finding FT just a little over a year ago, I've added countless miles to both my AA & US accounts as well as a bunch of HHonors points. Also the questions answered and help received when planning our 1st trip to Europe were priceless. A wise man once said "It's amazing what can happen when everyone pulls on the same end of the rope!"

Mr. Petersen, I just wanted to echo the sentiments of the other posts to this thread, and thank you for providing us with such a valuable website. It's my favorite place on the web. Please keep up the great work.

I concur -- I can't even begin to list the number of program benefits, bonuses, etc. I was missing out on and that I've gotten since I found FT.

I echo those sentiments. Not only do FT participants benefit from the miles, points and tips, but it also puts us in touch with other people who may not think we are totally insane. (Of course, I could be wrong about that.

But I agree, Randy, greatest place on the web. Can't begin to count the many many benefits I have received from Flyertalk. (You went to how many Latin American countries in 4 days????)

Randy,
Look at me. I'm nearing 1,500 posts. I think of FlyerTalk when I walk to work. I think of posts to post. I try to spread the word of FT while on planes or in airports. I check FlyerTalk religiously...
Are you sure you're not starting some sort of cult?

aloha
P.S. Regardless of my comment above, FlyerTalk is the greatest place on earth (well in the wired earth - Hawai'i is the greatest place on earth). Thanks Randy!

I also want to echo everyone's sentiments. A year ago I had no airline miles. In less than a year I was able to gain enough to book 2 first class tickets to Europe for my honeymoon. I absolutely would not have been able to do it without FT. I give 100% credit to the members of this board, and will be forever greatful.
(I also think about FT quite often...I think I'm addicted)

From one Randy to another Randy, many thanks for creating and running FT. Yes it is completely addictive. Maybe not like a cult as some have mentioned but not far off.
I only joined in December and have received free miles on United or free credits on Southwest that I would have never known about. Also the advice I got from friendly FTers helped me plan my MP award trip to Hawaii.
Kudos to the FT community and double kudos to Randy.

I appreciate that FlyerTalk has made me a much smarter traveler. I maximize my miles and points, as well as what they can do for me. Thanks to the tips and good advice I've picked up here, I've found that my stress level when traveling has been greatly reduced; I've been able to save more money; and I've learned how to squeeze the most benefit out of the money I do lay out.
The beauty of it is, I'm taking and eight-night vacation to Napa Valley this summer, and I'm doing it on free airline tickets and free hotel stays -- all I pay for is the rental car and food (and wine!). It definitely shows the power of many smart consumers getting together. That's the way it ought to be.

In addition to all the above benefits, Flyertalk is a great way to meet like-minded travelers in person. Last week I found myself in the company of 7 others for drinks/dinner in NYC, a very nice evening for one traveling alone. Thanks Randy and fellow Flyertalkers.
