Woman Frustrated After LHR Security Confiscates Breast Milk

A 33-year-old mother is claiming she was humiliated at Heathrow Airport (LHR) when she was stopped by security and forced to trash 10 bags of breast milk for her one-year-old daughter. Though Katie Langan said she even offered to pay extra fees and/or check the milk, but a staff member insisted it had failed a security check and therefore had to be confiscated. Langan – who reportedly always carries the milk in special bags when she travels – said it was a frustrating situation and she doesn’t want other women to endure the experience.

“This means that the next time I go away, my baby can’t have breast milk,” Langan said.
