Airlines to Trial Futuristic IFE Headsets

French start-up company Skylights has created an immersive in-flight entertainment headset that will soon be rolled out across several airlines in Europe and the Middle East. XL Airways France was the first carrier to test the device, which enables its users to be immersed in a movie that can be viewed in 2D or 3D.

Skylights CEO David Dicko said the glasses “will give the passenger the sense that they’re no longer where they are, which is on board an aircraft.”
