Five Night Stay at Atlantis Through Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card

Wanted to share my experience booking 5 nights free which I received from the Wyndham earners businesses card, from a match to Caesars Diamond.

First, the match to Caesars diamond was relatively easy. It took two days doing it through the Caesars website.

Next, booking the trip was painless. There is a number to call here as well as information on total days, casino play etc. It all varies by month. My wife and I choose to risk it and go during Hurricane season in September. We are so glad we did. Zero lines, and perfect weather. Thankfully all activity in the Atlantic was well away from us. One thing I did while booking, was look up airfare rates, and go by the cheapest options, then call the number to confirm dates. I found a very cheap Frontier flight, which was awesome. Booked on points going back on delta, be aware it's impossible to avoid paying $123 in taxes and fees for flights going home. The process was effortless booking. Confirmed my number, didn't even take a credit card number, and sent me my reservation. Only thing is, they cannot attach the room to your Marriott account, so no benefits of Gold.

One arriving in Nassau, I caught a cab from the airport to Atlantis. The offer is to stay in the Coral Towers, so make sure to tell your cab driver that. The price from the airport to Atlantis is $45, however, in some cases, cab drivers charge extra for bags. Our cab driver from the airport to Atlantis didn't. The cab drivers from Atlantis to the airport did. I have the good taxi drivers card and number if anyone needs it. He was great and pointed out all the landmarks on the Island while going to Atlantis.

We arrived early in the am and check in isn't guaranteed until 4. Upon check in we were informed we had an ocean view room, but only had 2 queens. For free, I did not mind this, but if booking with cash, would have been annoying. Person checking in informed us of the $60 per day resort fee and taxes. Also let us know how we would get our $150 free play on our room card. We got dressed in a bathroom below and left our luggage with the bell desk. With four hours to kill before our room was ready, we walked across the street to grab some lunch and a coffee at Dunkin. This dunkin can be a savior for your budget. Use it wisely for breakfast and lunch needs as it's the cheapest food option on paradise island. We then opted to get some rest at the beach and found a couple of hammocks.

Room was okay. The Coral is dated, beds not the most comfortable, but the patio was a welcome addition over the Royal. Things like the air conditioner and toilet were loud, but not damaging to the trip.

Having gone to Atlantis and knowing the expensive and lackluster food options, we opted to dine at the nearby Margaritaville (still expensive and not the best quality), Dune at the Four Seasons (the Atlantis shuttle will take you there) a dinner at Baha Mar, and our favorite spot, Shake Shack at the Aquarium. I highly recommend going to Shake Shack. It's the cheapest option at Atlantis, a burger, fries and shake will set you back about $25pp, but worth it imo for the view of the Aquarium.

Some other advice I'd give is to bring a ton of snacks. The Bahamas is expensive in general and there aren't a ton of spots to buy food on property. We make an aldi run and stock up on nuts, chips, bars, jerky, etc. We try to use these for break and lunch and splurge on nicer dinners. Helps keep the costs down. There's a liquor store across the street which isn't bad. I always grab a 6 pack of Sands and Kalik beer for about $13. My wife gets a bottle of wine, which is usually marked up around 50% to keep in the room. This will save you some dough as drinks are expensive on property. A beer alone is $7.

Overall we had a great trip. We love the Cove beach and water park. Take a cab one night either into downtown Nassau, or to the Fish Fry to have some cheaper food options and get a taste for somewhere else on the island. I wish they would have kept the offer at the Royal tower which is significantly better than the Coral. We also found no minimum play required inside the casino as others have mentioned before. We simply gambled through our $150 free play. Came home with about $70 in winnings from it. The sportsbook is a cool place to hang out, but is kind of forgotten. Overall it makes for a very fun vacation. 5 nights is plenty, 4 nights would be just fine too. It's a very good offer for an iconic property.

Thanks for the review. Personally getting to Nassau from MSP is a PIA so it's not a place we would go unless it was a spectacular offer.

To each his own but I don't see any real value in the "free" $60 per night hotel room considering the cost of everything else.

I would rather just pay for an AI and not worry about the penny pinching on vacation.

I must say I'm surprised they didn't have a set minimum you had to gamble every day as I have read where people didn't gamble much and then a week or two after checkout recieved a bill for the free room.

I’ve heard rumors of this, and I l’ve gone twice now, and no mention of any minimum play involved. We usually just play the free play on quarter jacks or better to get free drinks. I’ll take my drink and watch whatever game I had money on over at the sportsbook.

Head over to Redit and do a search.

Some are saying even if not charged you throw off future comps as it still rates your average daily play............so if you throw i some zeros for average daily play your future offers in Vegas etc may drop.

I've taken advantage of the Atlantis benefit twice and it really is a great benefit...but can you clarify how much time/money you spent in the casino?

IIRC there are benefit terms which stipulate required time/money gambled, with a threat of room rate clawback if not met.

I love to gamble, but just not there.

We went to the casino every night, but only used our free play and didn't bet much over the minimum bet on 25cent jacks or better.
