CALGARY - WestJet Airlines Ltd. has appointed oilpatch veteran Ron Brenneman to its board of directors, the second energy industry heavyweight to join its board this year.

Brenneman is the executive vice-chairman of Suncor Energy Inc., where he’s helping oversee the Suncor Energy Inc. and Petro-Canada integration.
