Interest in a WS forum Do in YYC?

On many forums, members organize periodic Dos to get together and kvetch about the airline in question, and occasionally talk about other stuff.

Since I find myself flying WS more often these days and hanging out more in the WS forum, I'm curious whether there would be interest in an in-person get-together. I can't really find any evidence of WS-themed gatherings in the past; while "Do" is too short a string for FT's search string, and a thread may exist without the terms I did try to search (e.g. "gathering", "get-together"), this might be the first one.

For a number of years, I've organized a similar event primarily aimed at those in the AC forum, usually involving drinking burgers and Scotch at Buchanan's (last year's thread).

If there are a few people who might be interested in doing something like that - casually getting together for drinks and a bite to eat - I'd be happy to try to throw something together so that a few of us could meet in person as opposed to just seeing each other across a keyboard.

I'd love to attend if the dates don't collide with my schedule! Would be even better if there's one in YEG for a change

If you want there to be one in YEG, anyone is free to organize a Do

I don’t have any official affiliation with WS but fly them frequently and follow this forum. I would attend if I can make it work.

Possibly... although I'm barely involved in anything around here these days. 🤔

Can't see why anyone would extend anything but a warm welcome were you to join a get together.

Colour me interested provided there's a decent amount of lead time to allow me to flex my schedule and make the drive south from YEG.

The great irony is that I'd have no choice but to fly on AC to get there :-)

My last Do was in university around 2002 and it was obviously an AC do. I then started with WS in Oct 2002. Been there ever since. Would be really cool to join at the first ever WS do. I might be able to source some official WS swag from the powers that be at HQ!

If the date hasn't been decided yet, how does April 26th sound like? A Friday evening meet-up sounds perfect.

if we are going to do April 26; can we get a show of hands 🙌 if that works. My FA bids are required by Mar 12 @ 0900MT.

I'll be able to make it on April 26th. Should be a short 3-hour hop for me from YEG!
