Fare Jump with seat sale for July
On Tuesday June 1 I booked a return flight Calgary to Vancouver - at Econo for $217 return. All fares during the day were at that price!
On Wednesday Westjet announced a 20 percent savings on the basic fare. So given the no penalty cancellation policy I thought perhaps a change would be a good idea
But the fares changed - an earlier morning and late evening flight at fare I paid less the sale price but all other times a big jump: the sale price for the same flights I booked $355.
Interesting?

I noticed the same thing on the biz fares from YYZ to YVR on the 789. Before the sale started the fare was $ 955. Now it is increased to $ 1006!
it looks like WS is lacking transparency with its sales.
