Hey, just realized the website gives you an "Offer Strength Scale" while the app does not.
FYI

I would like to know how many weak offers get accepted? This reminds me of the noise meter that usually plays on the jumbo screen at hockey games.

First time posting on here! I made two minimum bids that were both accepted. YYT to YYZ ($90) and YYZ to YYC ($130).

The program is very new, so I'm thinking those will eventually get more competitive.

thanks for posting our first accepted offer data point!!
How long after you bid did you find out it was accepted and how far away was your flight?

I had a bid for YQR-YYZ for $120 (pp for two people) rejected. It came up as “good” on the bid scale. It’ll be interesting to see what they offer at t-48 when I call in to try to purchase the upgrade.

Has anyone seen any bid opprtunities for any of the LGW flights? I’ve got a couple of bookings, one for August and one for September, that I’d like to try to upgrade. One is in economy on the 787 so I really want to try to get into PE at least. The other is in premium, with only one direction on the 787, so upgrading isn’t that important to me.

As a point of reference, the OLCI upgrade offer was $99 pp, which I accepted.

Upcoming flight for the long 4th of july weekend:

LGA - YYZ, bid 25CAD (minimum of 20CAD) at T-6. Accepted on T-4, only one other premium seat occupied on a 737-700 when it was accepted.

Didn't put in a bid for the return YYZ-LGA leg as expert flyer showed 2 seats empty but not next to each other and the flight is possibly sold out (737-800) .

This bidding for upgrades presents an interesting dilemma for me for an upcoming flight YYZ-YVR as a platinum tier. Client had their travel agent book an econo-flex fare for me. So do I...
1. Be patient and hope that I get automagically upgraded to premium for free with my platinum status? Typically happens between 24-36 hours before departure.
2. Buy an upgrade at 48 hours before departure?
3. Play the bidding game now?

Several decisions to make here!!!
