February 28 - New WestJet livery/ business class

WestJet to announce new 787 livery on February 28th - Article at trymodern.com.

This is confirmed by a source at WestJet who's seen it. Apparently they'll also be releasing details of the new 787 business class.

Cheers,

I think the business class will be very similar to what JQ offers on their 787's.

I would personally be fine with that, but I think they said it would be a lie-flat seat.

Isn't Jetstar "business" class similar to the Westjet Plus premium economy already on the 767?

I remember Westjet saying the 787s will be proper 3-class planes with real Business class with lie-flats and premium economy similar to the current Plus in 767s

I have a hard time believing that Premium Economy on the 787 will be of a similar quality to that on the 767.

I fear it could be little more than a regular seat in an eight across configuration instead of nine across.

Although I'm sure most have already seen it, here's a supposed preview of the new livery.

They really should paint it like that so it looks like it's going fast even when it's not moving.

This is reminiscent of the late ‘80s when CAIL was on the brink of insolvency. Some wizard decided they should resurrect the old CP Air flying goose logo and repaint all the aircraft. I remember commenting at the time that if they were serious about improving their load factor, treating customers like they actually want their business might help, but painting geese on airplanes probably wouldn’t.

I’m hoping WS is a little more connected to what the customers want. It would be interesting to see the business case report to the BOD.

I would expect something competitive with AC . That would be 7 across in Premium Economy.
