767 to and from Hawaii?

Hello all, I was checking on the website about the new food options for Plus and noticed that under "Guests seated in Plus" it mentions "For most flight to and from Hawaii, serviced by our Boeing 767". I've only seen the 737 fly to Hawaii. Are they flying the 767 at certain times of the year to certain locations? I thank anyone for any information they can provide.

To/from YVR is usually 737

To/from YYC and other cities is always 767

From what I've seen, the 767 goes between only Maui or Honolulu airports and YYC/YEG. The smaller airports Kona and Lihue are serviced with 737's from YVR, and are on seasonal schedules.

And, thank you Arthurrs for your information. I only go as far as YVR so guess will always have the 737. Was just hoping for the 2 seats and not the 3 seats in Plus

For Plus on the 737 they only sell 2 of the 3 seats. The center seat is blocked. Similar to business class in Europe.

The 767 have a proper premium seat.

Dear WS,

A YYZ-HNL direct route on the 767 would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Someone who would like to use the companion pass for a trip to Hawaii.

Maybe with the 787s but I doubt it... you can stop in YYC or YVR ;-)

Do many people from Eastern Canada go to Hawaii?

My understanding is that YYC/YEG - OGG is beyond the range of the 738s, hence the 767. At one point WS was using 757s chartered from Thomas Cook, IIRC.

Before the 757 was the 737-700 with empty middle seats.
I suspect another winter or two and Alberta - Hawaii will be served by 737Maxs.

The 7M8 can make it, AC has already pulled off their Rouge 763s for YYC-OGG and replaced with mainline.

That all sounds great, but doesn't exactly help travelers from eastern Canada. A 31hr trip to get to HNL is simply not an option when American carriers + AC can get you there 1 stop in 12-13hrs. I hope WS improves their network connections within Canada rather than just adding new destinations.abroad.
