Victoria Clipper
Can anyone comment on experiences with the Victoria Clipper? Is it worth doing for a day?
Thanks in advance

Other than flying it's the fastest way to get to Victoria from Seattle. My wife and I have done the trip. Going up in the daylight is great if it's a clear day. Bring a book to read or an ipod if you get bored with scenery, it's a long boat ride, especially going back in the dark. We've gone up in the morning and come back on the same evening so we can maximize our time in Victoria without having to stay overnight. Victoria is very walkable, you'll find lots to do. We loved the Royal BC Museum, check online to see what the traveling exhibit is when you plan your trip.

The Victoria Clipper is definitely worth doing for a day if your time does not allow overnighting in Victoria. Great advice about the book above.
Think airline style seating, with your carry-on going under the seat in front of you (no overhead bins). Definitely consider checking luggage if you have any bags of size.
I highly recommend that you bring your own food. The snacks and meals available on board are all pre-packaged. As an example, a sandwich basket would be single-serve package of deli meat with a bagel that could come out of a vending machine, a can of hommous and some crackers. The pricing is not outrageous, but the offerings are very underwhelming.

About double the cost, but five times the fun, plus lots more time on the ground in Victoria, try the floatplane from Lake Union to the Inner Harbour. Or Clipper in the morning, plane home.
