Overnight at DEN?
Hi all,
I'm trying to save some money on conference travel; and failing to have paid for my held reservation, the price from LAX to DEN has now jumped from $137.20 to $259.20... I can't get the $137.20 price anymore for my preferred outbound unless I stay the night and take the flight the following morning from DEN at 6am. My question is: does anyone have experience staying overnight at DEN? Is it doable?
Thanks for any advice!

et10yl, welcome to FlyerTalk! An even better fit for your Q. would be our Travel->West forum, so let me move this there for discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

you can stay overnight in denver, but bare in mind that DIA is like 20 miles away from Denver. There are a cluster of hotels that are within like 3 miles of the airport which I think all have shuttles back and forth.

No hotel onsite at the airport proper. As ethiopianbuffman noted, there are a cluster of "airport" hotels at Tower Road and Pena Boulevard. Use www.kayak.com to find the lowest rate for your stay.

Not sure what hotel brands you like to stay at, but I am guessing a decent room, plus dinner or something is going to be close to the $120 you are trying to save. Not sure you are accomplishing much by staying the night. Having said that, Denver is nice, and that area is pretty new so should be able to get a nice room and good food.

You didn't mention dates, but there is a good chance you can get a room for under $100 at one of the following hotels near the airport - La Quinta, Days Inn, Quality Inn, or Ramada. Quality Inn - AAA 2 diamonds - would most likely be the least expensive, unless someone is running a special promo.
