Hotels in ABQ

Hi,
I am in ABQ in August for a mileage run. I get in late evening Friday and leave early morning on Saturday. Any recommendations for a cheap (real cheap ) hotel near the airport that also has an airport shuttle.

Thanks.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn - cheap (by British standards!), decent and fairly close to airport (ie 10 mins, not actual at the airport). Not sure about shuttle, as I rented a car however.

There's a Hawthorne at ABQ that has a complimentary shuttle. I'm seeing $69 for a rate. Also at the airport are a Ramada, a Fairfield, a Courtyard, but I don't know if any of these have a shuttle.

Note: the Hawthorn rate above is an Expedia special - hotel website rack rate is $79.

However, I recommend you try Priceline. There is an airport zone. Checking recent wins on Biddingfortravel I see a 1* won for $24 at the airport Extended Stay America, $45 for 3* airport Wyndham, and a $49 2.5* Country Inn & Suites. I'd bet both Wyndham & Country Inn have shuttles, as they are airport hotels. No guarantees you'll get either, but Wyndham comes up frequently for an airport 3*, so you can probably nab it for no more than $50.

I'll second the priceline recommendation. Worked for me. The Hilton Garden Inn is nice enough.

If your hotel does not have free internet, you can use the free internet at the airport.

Friday, Aug 10 (I don't know your exact Friday) shows these:

$52 Comfort Inn - claims "free airport transportation," which I'd think would be a shuttle. Free high speed internet.

$63 Quality Suites - Claims the same stuff; bigger room.

$63 Holiday Inn Express - Has shuttle and internet. Advance purchase rate.

Look for a hotel on Gibson Boulevard - they're just north of the airport.

The Courtyard and Fairfield Inn will each have shuttle and internet, but will be more expensive.

I'm in agreement with deubster - if you want the best dirt cheap bargain, Priceline a 2 or 3 star airport property. 99% assured of having both shuttle and internet, and if they're dumb enough not to have a shuttle, you will have saved enough to pay $10 each way for a cab.
